FREE CV WORKSHOP OFFERED BY UNICAF KENYA

Around 40 students, graduates and professionals attended the morning and afternoon sessions at the Unicaf Kenya offices in Nairobi.

Unicaf Kenya Communication and Marketing Manager Winnie Rachael led the workshop, which provided participants with the opportunity to learn how to improve their CV and how to write an engaging cover letter, that will attract the employer’s attention, create a good first impression and increase the chances of receiving a job offer. Unicaf staff also presented information about the Unicaf Scholarship programme, and the wide range of undergraduate and post graduate degree programmes offered online through Unicaf by multi campus Unicaf University, and other reputable partner universities in the UK, US and Europe.

Aiming to widen access to international quality higher education for eligible youths and professionals in Africa, Unicaf operates one of the largest digital platforms for tertiary education on the continent, offering everything a student needs from enrolment to graduation.  Internationally qualified tutors and lecturers, based in different parts of the world, teach, mentor and support students throughout their studies, via online communication. Secondary school graduates, professionals in employment, young mothers and carers of ailing family members can study remotely, in their own free time, at a fraction of the cost. Professionals in employment can ‘earn as they learn” with Unicaf, keeping their jobs and salaries and studying from home at weekends and in the evenings.

Unicaf’s state-of-the-art Virtual Learning Environment facilitates online learning, as well as interaction and networking with academics and fellow students from around the world. The module-based system allows students to focus on one specific topic at a time, while newly acquired knowledge and skills inspire them to think outside the box, when searching for creative solutions to challenges faced at the workplace. With a physical presence in 11 African countries, Unicaf continues to expand to new locations and forge new partnerships all the time. So far, more than 90 million’s worth of Unicaf scholarships have helped change the lives of over 25,000 students residing in 156 countries. Unicaf University is expanding too, with two modern campuses already in operation in Malawi and Zambia and three more opening soon in Rwanda, Zimbabwe and Uganda.
