UNICAF Solves the Educational Challenges Faced by Students in Africa

Economic growth in the last decades in many developing countries has managed to somewhat increase prosperity of small segments of the population. But the continuing increase in births, plus the lack of the necessary infrastructure and available public funds renders the public services in developing countries seriously unable to fulfill their purpose. This is particularly obvious in the sector of education. When governments cannot provide adequate university places to satisfy the educational needs of the new generations, sustainable development is simply not possible.

An article on Uganda Radio Network highlights the perennial lack of resources in Uganda’s schools and universities. The article cites the lack of teaching equipment and learning materials, overcrowded classrooms, lack of procedures and monitoring, lack of an adequate number of qualified teachers. Although almost all African governments are already taking some measures to improve their educational sector, limited financial means and a fast growing population make wide improvements almost impossible.

UNICAF, the largest digital platform for online learning in Africa, has been established precisely to deal with such challenges, by providing:

  • well-structured, approved and efficient academic programmes, supervised by experienced and highly qualified academics of internationally recognised partner universities: the University of South Wales in the UK and multi-campus Unicaf University in Africa.
  • an alternative way to learn, which facilitates access to quality higher education from anywhere in the world
  • the option to ‘earn as you learn’, enabling students to keep their jobs and salaries, and do their studying in their own free time
  • the state-of-the-art Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) , through which students access study materials 24/7, read e-text books, submit assignments and connect with tutors and fellow students in 156 countries
  • higher education which is free of political bias and unaffected by local challenges or unrest
  • international study programmes which can be directly applied by students in their workplace
  • generous scholarships, which make quality international higher education affordable and easily available to qualifying students, who lack the financial means to pay for a good university degree

The UNICAF Scholarship Programme can reduce the cost of tuition fees by up to 50%! To apply online go to http://apply.unicaf.org/UNICAF/
