Dr. Nathan Musonda

Dr Nathan Musonda currently serves as the Associate Dean of the School of Doctoral Studies (Federal) at Unicaf Ltd. He previously held the position of Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean of the School of Business and Management at Unicaf University, Zambia. Dr Musonda earned his PhD in Supply Chain Management with a specialisation in Operations and Procurement Management from the University of Lusaka, Zambia. His academic qualifications also include a BSc in Production and Operations Management and an MPhil in Business Administration, both from the Copperbelt University, Zambia.
He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management from Cavendish University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Lecturing/Teaching Methodology from the University of Lusaka, and a Diploma in Project Management (Professional Level) from the University of Cambridge International. He has extensive experience across the private and public sectors, as well as in international development projects. Notably, he served as Project Coordinator for the World Bank-sponsored Zambian Mining Environmental Remediation and Improvement Project (ZMERIP).
Dr Musonda is a member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia and the Institute of Directors. He was the founding President of the Zambia Institute of Production and Operations Management and currently sits on the Special Steering Committee for the African Corporate Governance Network (ACGN). An active researcher, Dr Musonda has published extensively in high-impact academic journals. His research interests include production and operations management, quality management, supply chain management, sustainable and green procurement, public procurement, project management, product and business development, and industrial engineering. He has supervised and examined numerous master’s and doctoral theses.
Dr Musonda is currently writing a book titled ‘Digital Supply Chains and Smart Operations: Managing Complexity in the 21st Century.’
