The Unicaf University in Malawi marketing team recently co-sponsored the esteemed Malawi Defence Force Intersecurity Sports Festival. This remarkable event saw the participation of over 1000 soldiers and provided a platform for promoting education and fostering partnerships.
During the event, a variety of sports activities were conducted, including the highly anticipated tug-of-war, which were generously sponsored by Unicaf University with a contribution worth MWK 2,000,000. The team was thrilled with the outcome of the event, having accrued much interest from enthusiastic individuals who expressed a keen interest in pursuing Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral programmes.
The collaboration with the Malawi Defence Force also laid the foundation for a strong partnership with the Medical Aid Society of Malawi (MASM), opening doors for future Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. MASM is the first and largest Medical Aid (Health Insurance) services provider in Malawi.
Looking ahead, the team is enthusiastic about exploring innovative approaches to reach out to MDF staff, especially at MDF schools in Lilongwe, and extend Unicaf University’s educational offerings to teachers through a B.Ed. programme.
The success of this campaign would not have been possible without the steadfast support and encouragement of Unicaf University’s management, whose unwavering commitment to empowering students played a pivotal role in driving the team forward.
