Unicaf Signs MoU with Kenya Model United Nations

Unicaf, the leading higher education platform, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Kenya Model United Nations (KMUN) to provide its over 10,000 members with generous scholarships. The MOU signing took place at the Unicaf offices and was witnessed by the incoming secretariat for the year 2023-2024.

The collaboration between Unicaf and the KMUN is aimed at making education accessible to KMUN members through the generous scholarships offered. The MOU was signed by Ms. Winnie Rachael, Communications & Marketing Manager, Unicaf Kenya, and Mr. Samuel Mue, Secretary General, KMUN. 

The recent 22nd Kenya Model United Nations Conference, which was sponsored by Unicaf, was anchored on the theme ‘The Future We Want’, with a focus on empowering the youth to shape a sustainable future for all. KMUN is a non-profit organisation connected to the United Nations Information Centre at the UN office in Nairobi. For over 20 years, KMUN has provided a platform for over 10,000 young diplomats from East Africa to discuss global issues and find solutions to international challenges.

With a membership of 700+ young people, KMUN aims to be the leading youth society in Kenya and Africa by promoting critical thinking, encouraging innovation, and inspiring action towards the Sustainable Development Goals. Unicaf and KMUN are united by common interests and objectives, and the collaboration will establish ways to make education accessible to KMUN members through the Unicaf Scholarship Programme.
