Unicaf Empowering Teachers for Transformation Workshop in Botswana

Unicaf proudly hosted an enriching teachers’ workshop on the 7th of October at Cresta Lodge, Gaborone titled Empowering Teachers for Transformation Workshop.” The event, aimed at inspiring and invigorating educators who play a vital role in shaping the leaders of tomorrow, was meticulously organised and implemented with extensive dedication and passion.

With participation from a diverse group representing 30 institutions spanning primary, pre-school, high school, tertiary education, ministries, unions, and education-centric companies, the event generated significant interest from the dedicated participants who attended the event.

The workshop was nothing short of spectacular. Mr Mompoloki Makwana, a global business speaker, high-performance coach, serial entrepreneur & author and his wife and business partner, Mrs Nikita Makwana, a professional Chinese teacher, intercultural coach and recording artist served as keynote speakers. This powerhouse duo wasted no time in captivating the audience, infusing the event with a contagious energy that fueled an atmosphere of enthusiastic learning.

Participants enthusiastically shared their insights, immersed themselves in interactive activities, and enriched the discussions. In a compelling moment, Mr. Solomon Kolobe, a Unicaf student from DDT Medicine College, delivered a powerful testimonial, shedding light on his transformative educational journey with Unicaf, inspiring everyone in the room.

The workshop’s success and the continued interest in such initiatives demonstrate Unicaf’s commitment to supporting educators by offering special scholarships to teachers in Botswana to further their professional development. Ultimately, Unicaf’s mission is to elevate the standard of education, therefore contributing to the overall advancement of the nation’s educational landscape.
