The group, made up of 12 individuals selected from Advance HE member institutions, international stakeholders and partners feeds into Advance HE’s ‘transformation strategy.’ UK based Advance HE is the single agency of the Higher Education sector for the promotion of equality, diversity, excellence in teaching and learning, and best practice in University leadership and governance.
The Global Perspectives Strategic Advisory Group will help to identify current and emerging strategic global challenges and opportunities across the higher education sector, that could be most effectively addressed through taking a global perspective. They will also offer advice and guidance to Advance HE’s priority and operational plans. The Global Perspectives Strategic Advisory Group acts as a set of critical friends and education experts that help to maximise the value of Advance HE’s work within the global membership community.
Commenting on his appointment to the group, Kevin said:
“I’m eager to be joining such experienced colleagues from across the world and am looking forward to be able to use my own experience of institution building in Africa to make a contribution to this crucial strategic advisory group. I’m particularly keen to explore how the positive impact of Advance HE’s professional accreditation of teaching and learning practice can be extended internationally in further growing the recognition of the Advance HE Fellowship scheme, especially in the rapidly growing higher education sector in Africa.”
