Dr Christos Peristianis is the Dean of the School of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in European Studies from the European University of Cyprus, a Master’s degree in International Policies and Crisis Management from ‘La Sapienza’ University of Rome, a Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Research and Studies on Eastern Europe (History and Sociology stream) and a PhD in Sociology from the University of Essex. His research interests revolve around memory studies, oral history, the concept of generations in the social sciences, and the various relationships between place and people. He has participated in a number of international conferences and workshops, both presenting his work and acting as Chair or paper discussant. Dr Peristianis is also a member of the Memory Studies Association and the Cypriot Oral History Association. Additionally, his background experience includes research involvement in European-funded projects as a project manager and researcher, responsible for the scientific and administrative implementation of specific projects.
