Dr Elena Papadopoulou is the Pro Vice-Chancellor for Teaching & Learning (Federal), Principal Editor of the Unicaf Online Journal, and Editor-in-Chief of the Unicaf Research Newsletter. A psychoneurolinguist, she holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Cyprus, a Master’s in Language Acquisition, and a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Essex. She has over 15 years of experience in education and research, working as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Cyprus for four years and coordinating the Cyprus Acquisition Team for eight years. She has led multiple research projects as a Project Manager and Principal Investigator. At Unicaf, she has served as Dean of the School of Doctoral Studies (Federal) and Pro Vice-Chancellor for Doctoral Studies and Research (Federal). She has collaborated with leading scholars and published extensively in top-tier, ranked, and indexed journals on language acquisition, neurolinguistics, language disorders, and linguistic variation. Her research includes work with monolingual, bilingual, and multilingual individuals with typical and atypical development.
