Students Meet and Have Fun

UNICAF students in Nairobi, Kenya gathered on September 23rd, at the Black Gold Café in Panari Sky Center, to get to know one another, to exchange experiences and ideas and to network, while enjoying a delicious lunch. After the necessary first introductions the students started an animated discussion about work and career and how studying with UNICAF has influenced their lives. One of the students present, John Onsongo, 45, Project Administrator at the Logistics department of Wrigleys Kenya, currently doing his MBA with the University of Nicosia, through UNICAF, said that “UNICAF offers a world class learning experience, which is the way to go for online degrees “.

Most of the students said that studying with UNICAF enables them to multi task and balance between work, family and education commitments. They all agreed that UNICAF scholarships provide a great financial relief, and were instrumental in providing them with the opportunity to study. Dr Norman Ambunya, 40, Chief Finance Officer at Spire Bank Kenya, currently pursuing a PhD in Accounting & Finance with Unicaf University, through UNICAF, stated: “UNICAF is the new model of university education in Africa. World class education delivered when you need it, where you need it”. He said that UNICAF had made it is so easy for him to study for his new Doctorate degree, while holding a demanding managerial position at the same time.

The students were informed of the address of the new UNICAF offices in Nairobi and promised to pay a visit and also recommend more people to UNICAF. One of the students expressed satisfaction for the billboards and other UNICAF outdoor advertising around Nairobi, which proves the validity and credibility of the organisation.

All participants were very excited to receive their gifts of t-shirts and caps with the UNICAF logo; they took many selfies and group photographs and posted them on Facebook and Instagram, to show their friends how well UNICAF treats its students. They also attracted the attention of the guests who visited the Centre on that day, many of whom stood by and watched, while students had fun taking photos, eating, drinking and conversing. The students connected in a WhatsApp group and appointed one of them as their student leader, who will keep the contact between them alive.

Everyone was grateful for this great opportunity to meet with fellow students and have lunch together, and said that they are looking forward to many more similar events.
