Unicaf University in Uganda wins a coveted KACITA Award

Unicaf University in Uganda was honoured with a prestigious KACITA Quality Award as “the most innovative and collaborative private University of the year”, in a ceremony held at the Motiv Hotel in Bugolobi, on November 24th.  

KACITA is a business support association in Uganda, which aims to facilitate trade and to bring the country’s business community together into creating a viable, organised, socially inclusive and sustainable market place. The KACITA Awards are presented to individuals, companies, agencies and other entities, who have excelled in offering quality products or services in a particular industry. Unicaf University was nominated for the award alongside three other Ugandan Universities. 

The Guest of Honour at the KACITA Awards Ceremony was Mr. Richard Byaruhanga, representing the Deputy Governor of the Bank of Uganda, who thanked all winners and encouraged them to continue to support the community.

Accepting the Award, Unicaf University in Uganda Vice-Chancellor, Professor George Nasinyama, expressed his profound appreciation to KACITA and added:  “This recognition stands as a testament to the collective efforts and endeavours of our CEO and the Board of Directors, the University Council, the faculty, staff, students and stakeholders of Unicaf University, who are committed to fostering excellence in quality higher education.

This is a validation of Unicaf University’s commitment to providing flexible and easily accessible quality higher education, by being on the forefront of innovation and engagement. The KACITA award inspires Unicaf University to remain committed to its vision, core values and objectives to continuously improve its programmes and learning processes and to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of higher education in Uganda and the region.”
