Unicaf proudly announces its impactful participation in the 26th Nairobi International Education and Career Fair (NIEF), held from February 9th to 11th, 2024, at the Sarit Expo Center. As the premier education, training, careers, and student recruitment fair in Kenya, NIEF has been a pivotal event since 1999, guiding young Kenyans towards fulfilling their educational aspirations and navigating their career pathways.
This year’s theme, “Exploring career pathways to shape your future,” resonated with Unicaf’s mission to contribute to academic research and professional practice which serves the interests of the local communities and the wider global environmental agenda. Unicaf’s presence at the fair was marked by a significant booth, where attendees learned about the diverse online and blended learning opportunities offered through partnerships with Unicaf’s reputable universities in the UK and Africa.
Led by Samson Kithika Mbondo and Viona Ogol, the Unicaf team engaged with high school students, graduates, educators, and parents, providing them with valuable information on courses, scholarships, and the flexibility of online learning. The team’s efforts were focused on enlightening attendees about the potential career paths that Unicaf’s programmes can facilitate, perfectly aligning with this year’s theme.
With over 70 universities and colleges participating and an audience exceeding 5,000 visitors, including students, parents, and educators, the NIEF 2024 served as a critical platform for Unicaf to showcase its innovative educational solutions. The fair allowed Unicaf to contribute to the national conversation about the importance of informed career choices and the accessibility of higher education.
