On the 28th of October, 2023, Unicaf, the leading online higher education provider sponsored a Tree-Planting Walk in Palapy, Botswana, alongside Employee Africa, Minerals Development Company Botswana and EcoWaste. At the event, over 200 participants gathered together to plant over 500 trees in the area, in order to promote climate change awareness and ESG commitments.
The event was a resounding success, with a very high turnout and all of the attendees participating in the tree planting activity over the course of the walk, that began at the Palapye Old Mall, and came to a close at the Kediretswe Grounds.
The walk concluded with refreshments and snacks being offered at the finish line, and speeches being presented by the walk’s sponsors’ representatives.
The Tree Planting Sponsored Walk 2023 is a compelling demonstration of what can be achieved when communities unite to pursue an environmentally sustainable objective.
