Unicaf and the Technology Service Providers of Kenya (TESPOK) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking a significant step forward in the promotion of online education in the technology sector. The signing ceremony was attended by key representatives from both organisations, highlighting their commitment to fostering educational and professional development in Kenya’s technology industry.
The TESPOK delegation was led by CEO Dr Fiona Asonga, accompanied by Mr Allan Oluch, Head of Programmes and Partnerships, Ms Selma Shaban and Milcah Muga. Speaking at the event, Dr Asonga emphasized the transformative impact of online education:
“Online learning is the future, and this partnership creates an opportunity for TESPOK members to upgrade and upskill, leading to better outcomes in the technology sector.”
From Unicaf’s side, the delegation was headed by Country Manager for Kenya, Ms Winnie Rachael, alongside Senior Partnership Manager Mr Samson Kithika and team members Mr Joshua Nyambane, Ms Sheila Omondi and Ms Viona Ogol. The Unicaf team showcased the organisation’s facilities to the TESPOK representatives, providing an in-depth overview of how TESPOK members will benefit from comprehensive support, including guidance from Unicaf’s dedicated student advisors.
This MoU will offer TESPOK staff and members a pathway to access Unicaf’s diverse range of internationally recognised online degree programmes, enabling them to enhance their skills and qualifications. The partnership highlights Unicaf’s commitment to supporting Kenya’s technology workforce through flexible and accessible online education, addressing the need for continuous upskilling in a rapidly evolving industry.
