Unicaf & Kenya Medical Association – MOU-Signing Ceremony

On the 23rd of January 2024, officials of Unicaf and the Kenya Medical Association (KMA) gathered at the KMA offices in Kenya to participate in an MOU-signing ceremony. This event marked the beginning of a strategic and enduring partnership between the two organisations, aimed at fostering continuous learning and professional development within the medical community.

Representing the esteemed members of the Kenya Medical Association were President Dr Simon Kigondu, CEO Dr Brenda Obondo, Assistant Secretary General Dr Elizabeth Gitau, and Ms Sharon Kirui.

The Unicaf team, led by Country Manager Ms Winnie Rachel, Business Development Manager Samson Kithika, and Marketing Officers Ms. Sheila Omondi and Viona Awour, expressed their commitment to supporting the goals of the partnership and facilitating educational opportunities for KMA members.

In the spirit of collaboration, KMA has extended invitations to Unicaf to participate in the upcoming KMA Annual Conference scheduled for April. The conference, expected to draw doctors from across the country, provides a platform for knowledge exchange and networking within the medical community.

As part of the collaboration’s next steps, KMA will disseminate information about Unicaf’s offerings to its members through elastic email. Additionally, both organisations will publicise the MOU announcement on their respective websites and social media platforms, showcasing the commitment to shared values and goals.

Exciting discussions have already begun for joint events between Unicaf and KMA, focusing on the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and healthcare. This forward-looking collaboration reflects the commitment of both organisations to advance medical education, foster innovation, and ultimately contribute to enhanced healthcare outcomes in Kenya.
