Unicaf proudly participated in the inaugural Scientific Conference of The Operating Room Global (TORG-2024), held from August 7th to 9th, 2024, at Ostra Halls & Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos. This significant event, organised in collaboration with the National Association of Perioperative Nurses of Nigeria (NAPON) and the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), brought together over 200 physical attendees and more than 300 virtual participants from around the world. The conference served as a vital platform for uniting operating room experts, healthcare professionals, and scientific enthusiasts under the theme “Innovations in Surgical Excellence: Uniting Global Operating Rooms.”
Unicaf was honoured to be a part of this momentous event, where we engaged with surgeons, physician assistants, anesthesiologists, perioperative nurses, and other medical professionals. The conference provided an excellent opportunity for us to connect with a highly specialised audience, sharing valuable information about Unicaf’s online degree programmes in Public Health and Nursing, including Nursing Top-up degrees. During the event, Unicaf’s representative, Jennifer Eziamaka, delivered a presentation on the advantages of pursuing higher education through our flexible and affordable online learning platform.
Unicaf’s presence at TORG-2024 underscored the importance of accessible education in advancing the field of healthcare, particularly within the perioperative and surgical communities. We provided attendees with insights into how our programmes, offered in partnership with esteemed institutions such as the University of Suffolk, University of East London, Liverpool John Moores University in the UK, the University of California – Riverside Extension in the USA, and Unicaf University in Africa, can enhance their professional development and contribute to their career growth.
Unicaf remains committed to empowering healthcare professionals across Nigeria and beyond through world-class, flexible, and affordable education. We look forward to continuing our engagement with the TORG community and contributing to the ongoing advancement of the healthcare sector.
