Empowering Through Education
As part of this collaboration, Unicaf will extend its Corporate Scholarship Scheme to the Pharo Foundation staff, providing them with the chance to pursue internationally recognised Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees online. The programme’s flexibility allows employees to continue their work while advancing their professional qualifications, ensuring greater organisational and community impact.
The Pharo Foundation has further committed to supporting its employees by subsidising a percentage of tuition fees for selected staff members. This initiative reflects the Foundation’s dedication to fostering the growth and development of its workforce across its operations in multiple countries.
Engaging for Impact
The event also featured a networking session where the Pharo Foundation’s leadership team engaged with Unicaf representatives over lunch. Discussions highlighted the significance of this partnership and outlined actionable plans for implementation, including:
Webinar Engagement: A scheduled webinar in January 2025 will introduce over 700 Pharo Foundation staff members to the scholarship programme, fostering direct engagement and answering queries.
Site Visits: Unicaf will conduct in-person visits to the Pharo Foundation offices in various countries to strengthen relationships and better understand operational contexts.
Resource Sharing: Tailored materials, including course outlines, success stories, and testimonials, will be shared to generate interest and encourage participation.
Internal Awareness Campaigns: The Pharo Foundation will leverage its internal communication platforms to ensure staff members are well-informed about the available opportunities.
The MoU between Unicaf and the Pharo Foundation marks a significant step toward empowering individuals and communities through education. By combining Unicaf’s innovative approach to accessible, internationally recognised higher education with the Pharo Foundation’s commitment to holistic development, this collaboration promises to create lasting impact across multiple countries.
