Nairobi, Kenya – December 10, 2024 – Unicaf, the leading online higher education provider in Africa, has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Pharo Foundation, a prominent philanthropic organisation dedicated to advancing education and economic development. The event was attended by senior representatives from both organisations, including Michael Ngugi Kinyanjui, Samson Kithika, Joshua Luka, and Winnie Rachel from Unicaf, alongside the Pharo Foundation’s Country Director along with several members of its global leadership team. As part of this collaboration, Unicaf will extend its Corporate Scholarship Scheme to the Pharo Foundation staff, providing them with the chance to pursue internationally recognised Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees online. The programme’s flexibility allows employees to continue their work while advancing their professional qualifications, ensuring greater organisational and community impact.
The Pharo Foundation has further committed to supporting its employees by subsidising a percentage of tuition fees for selected staff members. This initiative reflects the Foundation’s dedication to fostering the growth and development of its workforce across its operations in multiple countries.
