Unicaf and Merishaw School Sign MOU to Incentivise Students to Prioritise their Education

Press Release
Unicaf and Merishaw School Sign MOU to Incentivise Students to Prioritise their Education

On the 9th of February 2024, Unicaf Country Manager, Miss Winnie Rachael, and Marketing Officer, Miss Sheila Omondi, travelled to the Merishaw School in Kenya to participate in a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony.

The MOU-signing was attended by Merishaw School principal, Mr David Kariuki, who shared our excitement to form a partnership.

With this new partnership, Unicaf will be able to offer generous scholarship opportunities to the students of the Merishaw school and provide them with useful and valuable career guidance.

After the paperwork was signed, the students engaged in a conversation with Unicaf’s representatives regarding the role of media in society, and how media can have a positive impact on the society that it revolves around. The goal of the conversation was to encourage students to pursue a career in journalism and expand their knowledge and career horizons.

Miss Rachael also delivered a special message to the boys of the boarding school, highlighting the significance of quality education and stressing the importance of organisations like Unicaf, whose role is to provide affordable, accessible and high-quality tertiary education to secondary school leavers. The students were encouraged to seize these opportunities, embrace learning, and aspire to reach new heights in their academic  journey.

Unicaf is proud to have formed a partnership as important as this one and we hope that the students of the Merishaw boarding school will grow to pursue their academic dreams and study towards ultimate success and happiness.
