Unicaf and JUMIA Partner Up with Momentous MoU-Signing

Unicaf, the leading online higher education provider in Africa and JUMIA, a leading e-commerce platform on the continent, formalised a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at a ceremony held at Kaka House, Kantaria and Warehouse. This partnership aims to revolutionise education accessibility and drive positive social impact across Africa.

The MoU signing ceremony convened key stakeholders from both Unicaf and JUMIA to solidify their commitment to collaborative efforts in advancing education. Among the attendees were Winnie Rachael, Unicaf Country Manager in Kenya, Sheila Omondi and Viona Ogol from Unicaf’s Marketing team, alongside representatives from JUMIA including Jane Gaite, JUMIA’s HR Representative, and Risper Anyango, Head of HR.

Jane Gaite, HR Representative of JUMIA, opened the ceremony by highlighting the significance of the partnership, emphasising that “it goes beyond a mere collaboration, but rather signifies a strategic alliance. This alliance,” she stressed, “aims to leverage the strengths of both organisations to create transformative learning experiences that resonate with the shared vision of excellence in education and social impact.”

Miss Rachael echoed these sentiments, underlining the strategic significance of the collaboration. She emphasised the shared values and commitment to providing access to quality higher education, emphasising the importance of this partnership in advancing education and unlocking opportunities for learners across Africa.

The highlight of the event was the official signing of the MoU between JUMIA and Unicaf, symbolising the commitment of both organisations to collaborate and innovate in the education sector. The MoU outlines the terms and conditions of the partnership, delineating areas of collaboration, shared goals, and mutual benefits
