Unicaf Hosts 2025 End-of-the-Year Partners and Staff Dinner to Strengthen Corporate Education Partnerships

Unicaf successfully hosted its 2025 End-of-the-Year Partners and Staff Dinner on 5 December 2025 at the Panari Hotel, Nairobi. The evening featured live band entertainment, complemented by high-quality food and beverages, creating a warm and memorable environment.

The event welcomed over 30 guests from diverse sectors, including human resources, banking, law, healthcare, technology, insurance, hospitality, and development.

The ceremony was officially opened by Mr Samson Mbondo, Unicaf’s Senior Strategic Partnerships Manager, who highlighted Unicaf’s mission, scholarship structure, and the steady growth of its corporate partnerships. He expressed appreciation to partners for their continued commitment to education empowerment across Kenya.

Ms Winnie Rachael, Country Manager for Unicaf Kenya, delivered a compelling keynote addressing Africa’s evolving future of work, the skills gap affecting productivity, and the responsibility of organisational leaders to prioritise continuous upskilling. She emphasised Unicaf’s role in supporting talent development through flexible and affordable learning pathways.

Sharing key impact metrics, she noted that Unicaf currently serves over 60,000 students globally, with more than 7,500 learners enrolled in Kenya alone. The Unicaf Alumni Network comprises over 15,000 graduates, while operations span 12 African countries – positioning Unicaf as one of the continent’s largest scholarship providers.

“A life without education is like a ship without a sail – it drifts aimlessly at the mercy of circumstance, while those who learn chart their own course and build their own destiny,” said Ms Rachael. Her message resonated strongly with CEOs and HR leaders in attendance.

The second keynote was delivered by Ms Lillian Ngala, Founder of the Lillian Ngala Network and HR Director at Diamond Trust Bank. She spoke on the transformation of talent development in modern organisations and the strategic value of lifelong learning.

“Lifelong learning is the new competitive advantage. The leaders and employees who keep learning will be the ones driving Africa’s next wave of prosperity,” she said.

Mr Davis Sigano, CEO of the East Africa Law Society, highlighted Unicaf’s positive impact within the legal community and reaffirmed EALS’s commitment to deepening collaboration in 2026. Current partners shared testimonials citing increased staff confidence and productivity, stronger leadership competencies, enhanced professional qualifications, and improved talent retention as outcomes of the Corporate Scholarship Scheme.

The 2025 Unicaf End-of-the-Year Partners and Staff Dinner concluded as a resounding success, reinforcing Unicaf’s commitment to delivering impactful, high-quality education and strengthening collaborations that drive organisational and national development.

As Unicaf looks ahead to 2026 and beyond, it remains dedicated to working closely with partners to empower Africa’s workforce and accelerate transformation through education.
