Unicaf University in Zambia Hosts Successful Microsoft Excel Training Session

In a crowded amphitheatre, Unicaf University in Zambia’s 3-day computer training workshop in Microsoft Excel took place from the 1st – 3rd of June. The session was one of Unicaf University’s initiatives to showcase its corporate, tailor-made programmes, aimed at addressing various skill competencies in the workplace.

The Microsoft Excel Training session was coordinated by Mr Benjamin Juma Nkowane and was open to the public as well as to corporate organisations. Around 94 participants took part in the event which was designed to offer a deep understanding of the advanced formulas and functions that transform Excel from a basic spreadsheet program into a dynamic and powerful analytics tool.

By the end of the session, participants were familiar with the fundamentals of Microsoft Excel and were able to identify, create, edit, and manage their own spreadsheets. Furthermore, they developed an understanding of basic mathematical structure and the creation of formulas, graphs, and charts in order to gain a grasp of visual data.

Speaking at the event, Unicaf University in Zambia Vice Chancellor, Dr Christine Mushibe, thanked the participants for being a part of the training and encouraged them to enrol in the wide range of Bachelor and Master’s programmes offered by Unicaf University in Zambia and by Unicaf’s UK partners – Liverpool John Moores University, the University of East London, and the University of Suffolk.

The event received an overwhelmingly positive response from the attendees who commended Unicaf University for the free event. The audience members were each given a Certificate of Participation at the end of the 3-day training course.
