Unicaf proudly participated in the 7th edition of Zetech University’s Research and Innovation Week, an esteemed event that celebrates academic research, entrepreneurship and groundbreaking innovation. The three-day forum brought together students, academics, researchers and industry stakeholders to share ideas and explore practical solutions to today’s pressing challenges.

Held under the banner of fostering impactful innovation, the event featured a dynamic programme of project exhibitions, academic presentations, panel discussions and technology showcases. Participants unveiled innovative projects aimed at addressing both local and global issues, reinforcing the role of education in shaping a more sustainable and equitable future.

Unicaf engaged directly with students and faculty throughout the event, with a particular focus on participants demonstrating creativity, critical thinking and academic excellence.

Speaking at the event, Winnie Rachael, Unicaf Country Manager for Kenya, reaffirmed the organisation’s belief that true innovation stems from the drive to solve real-world problems. “We view innovation not simply as new ideas, but as transformative solutions that meet urgent needs,” she said. “Events like Zetech University’s Research and Innovation Week are vital for nurturing the kind of bold thinking and talent that will shape Africa’s future. We are proud to collaborate with institutions that inspire such growth.”

Ms Rachael also underscored Unicaf’s continued commitment to expanding access to quality, affordable higher education through its partnerships with leading universities. “Together, we are building a future where knowledge has purpose, and innovation delivers lasting impact,” she added.

Unicaf’s presence at the event reflects its broader mission to support innovation, empower learners and forge strategic collaborations that contribute to educational and societal progress across the continent.
