Unicaf University signs MOU with Malawi Broadcasting Corporation

MBC TV Offices, Blantyre, Malawi

In front of a gathering of employees and Senior Management, the Director General of Malawi Broadcasting Corporation, Mr George Kasakula and Vice Chancellor of Unicaf University, Dr Robert Ridley signed an MOU spearheading a partnership designed to benefit all 400 of MBC’s workforce.

The partnership was met with much support since many of the Corporation’s employees have, in the recent past, requested the opportunity for further study. The agreement secures potential students of a guaranteed generous Unicaf Scholarship to study for a Bachelors, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in a subject of their choice.

The Vice Chancellor of Unicaf University, Dr Robert Ridley, assured MBC employees of the high quality tertiary education offered by Unicaf University which is accredited by NCHE and the British Accreditation Council. He also reminded the assembled personnel of the benefits of flexible, convenient, online study.

In his speech, Mr George Masakula, praised the partnership, indicating the benefits to all involved. He expressed his willingness to advertise the agreement with his employees in order for them to enrol and enjoy the advantages of studying for a degree programme. “Things are changing, and we need well trained employees. This Unicaf partnership is extremely timely,” he said.
