Unicaf University in Uganda proudly sponsored and attended the Her and Beyond Awards and Gala Dinner on March 8th, held at the prestigious Hotel Africana in Kampala. The event, coinciding with International Women’s Day, celebrated women in business positions and their corporate achievements.
The event organiser opened the proceedings with an introduction to Unicaf University and the wide range of degree programmes and subjects it offers, all of which are available with a generous Unicaf Scholarship. This highlighted the university’s commitment to providing accessible education to individuals who may otherwise struggle to pursue higher education.
The guest of honour, Ms Winnie Kalyesubula from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), addressed the all-female audience, emphasising the importance of studying to compete for better positions in their workplaces. She shared her recent personal experience of online learning and encouraged the ladies at the event to do the same.
The award ceremony that followed celebrated women in the corporate world who were presented with their well-deserved accolades. The evening ended with a gala dinner and some well-deserved fun and relaxation for all attendees.
