Unicaf University successfully held its Orientation Introduction Session at its Lusaka campus, welcoming newly enrolled students to the university community. The event, which took place on 26th September 2025, provided an engaging platform to guide students as they embark on their academic journey.
The Orientation aimed to equip new students with the knowledge, tools, and confidence needed to navigate the Unicaf University environment. Participants were introduced to the institution’s mission, vision, academic programmes, and the wide range of resources and support services available to them.
Highlights of the event included an inspiring address by the Vice-Chancellor, Dr Christine Mushibwe, who encouraged students to pursue academic excellence and embrace the spirit of community. Also, a demonstration of the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), the Student Help Centre, and support departments took place, as well as a guided campus tour, which generated enthusiasm, especially around the library, student services, and academic facilities. Finally, interactive Q&A sessions were held, allowing students to engage directly with university staff and clarify their expectations.
The programme featured contributions from senior university staff, including Dr Lucy Nyundo (Marketing Manager), Abigail Chalwe (Dean of Student Affairs), Golden Moonga (Assistant Librarian), and Bibiana Lambart (Law Lecturer).
The Orientation fostered a sense of belonging and laid a strong foundation for academic and personal success at Unicaf University.
“The Orientation is a critical step in our students’ journey. It ensures that they not only understand the academic and administrative systems in place but also feel welcomed into a vibrant learning community,” said Abigail Chalwe, Dean of Student Affairs.
