Unicaf University, Zambia, in partnership with Sweat Factory, Aerobics Mania and Defined Style Fitness, proudly hosted the highly anticipated Aerobics Mania event on 21st September 2024. The event, led by renowned fitness instructor Makungo Muyembe, attracted over 300 participants, turning the morning into an energetic display of community spirit, health and fitness.
The Aerobics Mania event was divided into two segments: a high-intensity aerobics session led by Muyembe, and a Dementia Walk organised in collaboration with Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias in Zambia (ADDIZ). The walk saw participants trek from Manda Hill to the Unicaf University campus, raising awareness about Alzheimer’s and related conditions while promoting an active, healthy lifestyle.
Attendees raved about the event, praising the fun yet challenging aerobics session and the sense of purpose behind the Dementia Walk. The collaboration between Unicaf University and the fitness community provided a perfect platform to promote health and well-being, while raising awareness for an important cause.
Unicaf University remains committed to engaging with the local community through such events, combining fitness, education, and social responsibility. With the help of Sweat Factory, Aerobics Mania, and Defined Style Fitness, this event marked another successful initiative to inspire positive change in Zambia.
