Unicaf University Empowers Women Through Second Annual Summit in Zambia

Lusaka, Zambia – March 21st, 2024 – Unicaf University, a leading provider of online, quality higher education in Zambia, committed to academic excellence and societal impact, proudly hosted its second annual Women’s Summit on March 15th, 2024. Themed “When Women Lead: Nurturing Diversity, Innovation, and Inclusive Excellence,” the summit served as a platform to analyse the strides made in women’s empowerment and gender equality.

The event, held at the university’s premises in Lusaka, featured esteemed speakers who shared insights and perspectives on fostering gender diversity and inclusive leadership. Among the distinguished speakers were Aaron Mujajati MD – CEO of Carepeak Hospital; Daisy Kopolo – CEO of Platinum Black; and Jayne Mazimba – Financial Advisor.

With a focus on lead generation, brand awareness, and corporate social responsibility (CSR), the summit attracted a diverse audience eager to engage with the discussions and initiatives aimed at advancing gender equality in both professional and academic spheres.

The summit comprised two sessions designed to provide attendees with comprehensive insights and practical knowledge. The morning session commenced with welcoming remarks from Dr Lameck Mwewa – Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Unicaf University in Zambia. Subsequent discussions delved into various topics pertinent to women’s empowerment, followed by an interactive question and answer session that facilitated meaningful exchanges between speakers and participants. Attendees were then treated to a campus tour, offering them a glimpse into the university’s facilities and resources.

The afternoon session featured a dynamic training session conducted by the Maquola team, focusing on marketing strategies and brand management for entrepreneurs. The session, characterised by its interactive nature and engaging content, left participants inspired and equipped with valuable insights to propel their entrepreneurial ventures forward.
