Press Release
Unicaf University attends successful UMA International Trade Fair

After a two year hiatus due to the Covid-19 global pandemic, the UMA (Uganda Manufacturers Association) International Trade Fair re-opened its doors to a sea of attendees at the Lugogo Show Grounds in Kampala. The 6-day event attracted businesses, students and members of the public who arrived in droves to tour the 300+ exhibitors’ stalls.

The UMA International Trade Fair provides a unique platform to promote the latest products and services to Uganda and neighboring booming markets. This year’s theme, “Business recovery by harnessing local sourcing and deepening value chain integration” brought in exhibitors from all over Africa, Asia, The Middle East, and Europe.

Uganda currently boasts the fastest-growing economy in East Africa, and is working to better the lives of local people by laying the groundwork to establish a viable commercial market.

Unicaf University’s presence was well received by the arrival of secondary school students from within the local area. Promoting their Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degrees with a generous scholarship generated much interest and discussion as was evident by the numbers who approached the Unicaf University stand.
