Unicaf Supports Women’s Empowerment at Inaugural 2025 Event

Unicaf proudly sponsored and participated in the opening session of the Empowered Women Trust for 2025, held in Harare, Zimbabwe on the 25th January. This landmark event brought together over 100 women from diverse backgrounds, alongside key figures from various industry sectors, including representatives from arts, banking and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) across the country.

The session marked the beginning of another impactful year for the Empowered Women Trust, a non-governmental organisation dedicated to fostering education-driven networks for women. Through strategic partnerships with global institutions such as the World Bank and various embassies, the organisation provides a platform for women and youth to connect, collaborate and advance their roles in society.

During the event, Unicaf had the opportunity to present its wide range of educational opportunities, distribute informational materials and engage with stakeholders. This initiative aligns with Unicaf’s commitment to expanding access to quality higher education and empowering individuals through learning and professional development.

Empowered Women Trust operates a unique model aimed at recognising and supporting women and youth in their efforts to drive social and economic change. By leveraging education as a tool for transformation and growth, the organisation strengthens communities in Harare and across Africa.

Unicaf remains dedicated to championing education-driven initiatives that empower women and youth, ensuring lasting impact across Zimbabwe and beyond.
