Unicaf participated in the Forum for African Women Educationalists – Kenya Chapter (FAWEK) General Assembly Meeting, held at the Kenya Education Management Institute (KEMI). The event brought together members to deliberate on key issues, share knowledge and explore opportunities to enhance access to education.

Representing Unicaf at the assembly was Ms Winnie Rachael, Country Manager for Unicaf Kenya, who introduced the organisation and highlighted the diverse opportunities it offers. In her address, Ms Rachael outlined Unicaf’s goal to expand access to quality higher education through affordable scholarships and flexible online learning. She further emphasised Unicaf’s commitment to supporting women, professionals and underserved communities in Kenya by making education more accessible and inclusive.

A central focus of her presentation was the collaboration between Unicaf and FAWEK, which is expected to benefit members through scholarship opportunities, capacity-building initiatives and professional development programmes tailored to their needs.

The presentation was positively received by FAWEK members, who expressed appreciation for the partnership. They noted that access to affordable higher education is vital in empowering women and advancing educational leadership across the country.
