Unicaf Signs Strategic MoU with the Global Women Impact Foundation

Unicaf has officially entered into a strategic partnership with the Global Women Impact Foundation (GWIF) following a successful Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony held at the Unicaf offices in Nairobi. The new collaboration aims to broaden access to quality higher education and professional development opportunities for women across Kenya.

The MoU was signed by Ms Clarice Mwakazi, CEO and Founder  of GWIF, alongside Ms Winnie Rachael, Country Manager, Unicaf, Kenya, marking the beginning of a meaningful alliance focused on empowering women through education, skills development, and lifelong learning.

A central highlight of the partnership is the provision of generous Unicaf Scholarships for GWIF members. Eligible beneficiaries will be able to pursue internationally recognised online degree programmes offered through its leading and prestigious partner universities in the UK and Africa.

During the meeting, both organisations discussed various joint initiatives designed to support women’s advancement in the modern workforce. These include:

  • A co-hosted webinar dedicated to women’s empowerment, upskilling, and digital transformation.
  • Joint workshops to strengthen practical skills in areas such as leadership, innovation, and professional development.
  • Active participation in GWIF and Unicaf events to promote education, gender equality, and community impact.

This new partnership underscores Unicaf’s ongoing commitment to supporting organisations that advocate for women’s empowerment, career progression and educational accessibility throughout Kenya.
