Unicaf Renews MoU with Malawi Police Service to Advance Higher Education Opportunities

Lilongwe, Malawi – 11th November 2024Unicaf, Africa’s leading online higher education provider, has renewed its partnership with the Malawi Police Service through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This renewed agreement builds on the successful collaboration established in October 2021, reaffirming Unicaf’s commitment to supporting professional development and lifelong learning within the Malawi Police Service.

The MoU signing ceremony, held on 11th November 2024, was attended by representatives from both organisations. The Commissioner of Police responsible for Research and Planning, Mr Dennis Chipao, signed on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, Mrs Merlyn Nachulu Yolamu, while Dr Robert Ridley, Vice-Chancellor of Unicaf University, represented Unicaf.

This renewed agreement highlights the shared vision of Unicaf and the Malawi Police Service to enhance access to high-quality, flexible, and affordable education. The partnership provides police officers and staff members with the opportunity to pursue internationally recognised Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degree programmes through Unicaf’s platform. We are excited to continue this fruitful collaboration,” the Commissioner said.

Through this MoU, we aim to equip Malawi Police Service personnel with the tools they need to excel in their roles and contribute meaningfully to the development of the nation,” he said.
