Unicaf proudly signs MoU with ICAZ

Unicaf has proudly signed a Memorandum of Understanding with The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe (ICAZ) to offer a scholarship of up to 80% to all staff, members and stakeholders of ICAZ. The agreement allows ICAZ members to study for a Master’s degree programme with one of Unicaf’s UK partner universities:

  • Liverpool John Moores University, the 9th best university in the UK
  • The University of East London, voted one of the best modern universities in the UK and a global leader in equality and diversity
  • The University of Suffolk, who proudly boasts a 90% graduate employability rate

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe (ICAZ) is the longest established and the largest Zimbabwean professional accountancy organisation. It was set up on the 11th of  January 1918. It is now a statutory body incorporated in terms of the Chartered Accountants Act [Chapter 27:02].

The Unicaf – ICAZ MoU signing event was held at the ICAZ Head Office in Harare with Unicaf represented by Business Development Manager, Mr Douglas Mahere and Marketing Manager, Mr Wilfred Magwaza. The Chief Executive Officer of ICAZ, Mr. William Mandisodza, made the following announcement: “The Unicaf – ICAZ partnership will facilitate access to Continuous Professional Development (CPD) opportunities and resources to assist ICAZ members in meeting their personal responsibilities for CPD and maintenance of professional competence via online learning.”

This momentous partnership will enable ICAZ members to access degree programmes that will complement their professional qualifications and boost their career with an internationally recognised British Master’s degree.

Additionally, this MoU allows for the study of Professional Development Courses with the University of California, Riverside Extension, USA.
