Unicaf in Zimbabwe Brings Together Business Community at Cocktail Dinner

Unicaf in Zimbabwe organised a Cocktail Dinner on Friday, 17th February at the Cresta Lodge Harare in the Sango Conference Centre, where it presented its Corporate Scholarship Scheme (CSS). In a relaxed and jovial environment, representatives from 7 different organisations were brought together to learn about the scheme, network and enjoy a cocktail dinner.

The organisations present, Nestle, Econet, First Mutual Holdings, Masawara Group, Dandemutande, National Foods and Zimplats, were eager to learn more about the programme, generating a lot of interest and engagement from the business community. Through the CSS, Unicaf aims to create a collaborative learning environment that supports the growth and development of the business community.

During the event, Mr William Mandisodza, CEO of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe (ICAZ), gave a testimony on how the CSS has been welcomed and how it has benefited members of his accounting body. Attendees were also keen to learn more about the degrees on offer, accreditation, Professional Development Courses, and the possibility of on-boarding some of their training courses onto the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).

Unicaf’s Corporate Scholarship Scheme is a unique opportunity for companies to invest in the education and development of their employees. The CSS offers a range of Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degree programmes, as well as professional development courses.

The CSS is designed to provide flexibility for employees to study while working, enabling them to balance their work commitments and personal responsibilities. It also provides an opportunity for employers to upskill their workforce, enhancing productivity and competitiveness within the organisation.
