Unicaf Empowers Female Leaders at the Association of Women Accountants of Kenya (AWAK) Annual Conference

Unicaf proudly participated as sponsors at the Association of Women Accountants of Kenya (AWAK) Annual Conference held from March 4th to March 8th. Themed “Impactful Women Leaders: Leveraging on Digitization, Innovation, and Technology,” the conference aimed to address the gender gap in technology access and representation, particularly in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields.

The 5-day event provided a platform for experienced female leaders to share insights and redefine female leadership paradigms in the digital era. Unicaf recognised the importance of supporting initiatives that empower women in leveraging technology and innovation for leadership roles.

During the conference, Unicaf delivered a presentation highlighting the Unicaf Corporate Scholarship Scheme and emphasised the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between AWAK and Unicaf. Through this partnership, AWAK members will have access to Unicaf scholarships to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral degrees with prestigious international universities such as the University of East London, Liverpool John Moores University and the University of Suffolk.

Unicaf’s participation in the AWAK Annual Conference underscores its commitment to promoting gender equality and supporting women. By offering scholarships for online degree programmes, Unicaf seeks to bridge the gap in access to quality education and empower women to excel in their chosen fields.
