Unicaf Champions Postgraduate Education at MESA UON Dinner Event

Unicaf proudly took part in the 2025 Mechanical Engineering Students Association (MESA) dinner event, hosted at the Lenana Swiss Hotel for final-year Mechanical Engineering students from the University of Nairobi. The event, held in honour of soon-to-be graduates, served as a celebration of academic achievement and a launchpad for future professional and educational opportunities.

As an official sponsor, Unicaf reinforced its commitment to expanding access to quality higher education in Kenya and beyond. The sponsorship aimed to inspire graduates to consider advancing their studies through Unicaf’s internationally recognised online Master’s degree programmes, which offer flexibility, affordability and scholarship opportunities.

Unicaf Country Manager, Ms Winnie Rachael, delivered a compelling keynote address during the event. She highlighted the increasing value of postgraduate qualifications in today’s competitive job market and highlighted how Unicaf’s programmes can equip students with the knowledge and skills needed for career growth and personal development.

“Our goal is to empower graduates to pursue their aspirations through accessible and high-quality education,” said Ms Rachael. “We are here to support the next chapter in your academic and professional journey.”

Unicaf’s team also engaged directly with students, sharing detailed information on available scholarships, partner universities and the application process. The response from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing strong interest in exploring further studies with Unicaf.

The event also facilitated meaningful dialogue between Unicaf and representatives from the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK). These initial discussions opened the door to potential collaboration on professional development initiatives and continuing education, with follow-up meetings currently in progress.

Unicaf’s participation in the MESA UON dinner reflects its broader mission to support the academic and professional aspirations of young Africans. By connecting with students and key stakeholders in the engineering community, Unicaf continues to play a vital role in shaping the future of higher education and workforce readiness in Kenya.
