Unicaf and WITIA Sign MoU to Empower Women in Technology and Innovation

Unicaf has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Women in Tech & Innovation Africa (WITIA), marking the start of a transformative partnership aimed at advancing women’s education and empowerment across the technology and innovation sectors.

The MoU was signed at Nkaimurunya Primary School in the presence of Eunice Pohlmann, Chair and Founder of WITIA, Winnie Rachael, Country Manager, Unicaf, Kenya, and Viona Ogol, Marketing Officer at Unicaf, Kenya.

Through this collaboration, WITIA members will gain access to quality and affordable higher education opportunities, including generous scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate degrees offered through Unicaf’s flexible online learning platform.

Speaking during the signing ceremony, Ms Rachael explained the details of the partnership and emphasised its potential to create lasting impact. “This partnership will enable women in technology and innovation to upskill, pursue advanced qualifications, and enhance their professional growth, all while balancing their personal and career commitments,” she noted.

The WITIA leadership expressed great enthusiasm and optimism about the partnership, describing it as a timely and impactful initiative that aligns perfectly with their mission to empower African women through education, innovation and collaboration.

This MoU represents a shared commitment between Unicaf and WITIA to foster inclusive access to education and drive sustainable growth through knowledge and empowerment.
