UNICAF and AIESEC in University of Nairobi enter into an MoU partnership

On the 2nd of August, 2023, Unicaf Business Development Manager Samson Kithika welcomed members of the AIESEC from the University of Nairobi: Mr Zachary Ogutu – Local Chapter Vice President, Mr Dennis Kinyua – Accounts Manager and Ms Ngina Mungai – Global Volunteer Vice President at the Unicaf offices in Kenya.

AIESEC is a global platform for young people to develop their leadership potential through practical experiences of many kinds, including internships, volunteering opportunities, and more.

Founded in 1948, AIESEC is a non-governmental and not-for-profit organisation that is run entirely by youth for youth.

AIESEC in the University of Nairobi is part of the global student run organisation which develops youth leadership and offers exchange opportunities. It was established in the heart of Nairobi in 1978 as the first entity under AIESEC in Kenya.

The event concluded with the signing ceremony, where Samson Kithika and AIESEC Local Chapter Vice President Mr Zachary Ogutu signed the formal document making the partnership between Unicaf and AIESEC official.

After the MOU was signed, Mr Ogutu said the following:

“The partnership with Unicaf will go a long way in informing young people that there are options out there to access quality education. And that Unicaf is offering an opportunity to access this quality education through its scholarship programme.”

Unicaf looks forward to reaching and helping more communities in the future, and is excited about forming new partnerships that can help the organisation ensure that students in need can receive a quality higher-education at a fraction of the cost.
