Unicaf and Africa Women Summit Enter Partnership to Empower Women Through Education

Unicaf, the leading online education provider in Africa, proudly announces a new partnership with the Africa Women Summit, marked by a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony during the 5th annual Africa Women Summit at the JW Marriott in Nairobi, Kenya. This partnership aims to enhance educational opportunities and empower women across the continent.

The Africa Women Summit, held from May 7th to May 10th, 2024, is a premier event dedicated to amplifying women’s voices and driving transformative change, especially in women’s health. The summit featured prominent speakers, including Dr Isata Mahoi, Minister of Gender and Children’s Affairs of Sierra Leone, Hon. Harriet Chiggai, Advisor on Women’s Rights at the Executive Office of the President of Kenya, and Ms Winnie Rachael, Unicaf’s Country Manager in Kenya.

Ms Rachael emphasised the transformative power of education in her address. She highlighted Unicaf’s commitment to providing women with quality higher education, which empower them to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.

Additionally, Ms Rachael underscored the importance of economic empowerment for women. She explained that financial independence enables women to access healthcare, support their families and contribute to the economy. Unicaf is a huge supporter of this through scholarships and flexible learning opportunities, helping women to break free from the cycle of poverty and dependency, thereby empowering them to build healthier futures.

Unicaf’s participation in the 5th Edition of the Africa Women Summit has been immensely rewarding, reinforcing its dedication to fostering educational inclusivity and empowerment. With this renewed commitment, Unicaf looks forward to advancing its mission and making a significant impact on the lives of women across Africa.
