Unicaf University, Zambia hosted a StandOut Leadership cohort organised by YouEngage Foundation on Friday, 28 August 2026, bringing together emerging leaders for a day focused on developing practical leadership skills, mentorship and the tools needed to create positive impact within their communities.

The leadership development programme was held at the Unicaf University, Zambia Campus as part of the ongoing collaboration between Unicaf University and YouEngage Foundation under their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Welcoming remarks were delivered by the Dean of Education, Prof. Pelekelo Kabundula, who officially welcomed participants to the Unicaf University, Zambia Campus. Participants were subsequently taken on a campus tour led by Ms Milika Mwanza, providing an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the university’s facilities and learning environment.

The programme then moved into the leadership session, moderated by Ms Sylvia Mwewa, SLP Coordinator at YouEngage Foundation. The session brought together experienced professionals and leaders who shared insights designed to encourage participants to strengthen their leadership capabilities and consider how they can contribute meaningfully to their organisations and communities.

The keynote address was delivered by Mr Kalaluka Itwi, Chief Financial Officer of Zambia National Commercial Bank (Zanaco), who shared his expertise and perspectives with the emerging leaders.
