Unicaf and TEKI Sign Strategic MoU to Advance Higher Education

Unicaf is proud to announce the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with TEKI, marking a significant step towards expanding access to quality higher education and professional development opportunities across Kenya. The ceremony took place on 4th December 2025 at the Unicaf offices in Nairobi and was attended by senior representatives from both organisations.

The MoU was formally signed by Mr Martin Muli, CEO of TEKI, and Ms Winnie Rachael, Country Manager, Unicaf, Kenya, solidifying a partnership that aims to empower TEKI students through transformative learning pathways. Central to the agreement is the provision of generous scholarships, enabling eligible TEKI members to pursue internationally recognised Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degrees online through Unicaf’s leading and prestigious partner universities in the UK and Africa.

During the meeting, both organisations discussed a shared commitment to advancing digital skills, innovation and career readiness. Key collaborative initiatives agreed upon include:

  • A joint webinar focused on upskilling and digital transformation for TEKI members.
  • Co-hosted workshops designed to strengthen practical skills, promote innovation, and support ongoing professional development.
  • Mutual participation in TEKI and Unicaf events, creating new opportunities to promote education, technology-driven learning, and capacity building.

This partnership reinforces Unicaf’s dedication to supporting organisations across Kenya in expanding access to flexible, affordable, and internationally recognised higher education. By joining forces with TEKI, Unicaf continues its goal of driving educational advancement and empowering individuals to achieve their academic, professional, and personal goals.
