Press Release
Unicaf and Gifted Gems Sign MoU to Expand Access to Higher Education and Promote Inclusion

Unicaf has officially entered into a strategic partnership with Gifted Gems following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 30 March 2026.

The agreement marks the beginning of a collaborative effort to broaden access to quality higher education and professional development opportunities for members of Gifted Gems through Unicaf’s scholarship programme.

Under this partnership, members of Gifted Gems will be eligible for generous scholarships, enabling them to pursue internationally recognised degree programmes online through Unicaf’s partner universities in the United Kingdom and Africa.

The MoU was formally signed by Ms Winnie Rachael, Country Manager, Unicaf, Kenya, and  Ms Caroline Ndebu, Executive Director, Gifted Gems, in the presence of key team members from both organisations, including Ms Viona Ogol (Marketing Officer, Unicaf), and Ms Mwende Karutu (Programme Manager, Gifted Gems).

Beyond expanding educational access, the partnership also supports Gifted Gems’ mission to raise awareness about autism and promote inclusivity within communities. Through this collaboration, both organisations aim to create meaningful impact by empowering individuals with knowledge, skills, and opportunities.

This partnership reinforces Unicaf’s ongoing mission to empower talented individuals, promote inclusive education, and support initiatives that contribute to sustainable development across Kenya.
