A significant MoU signing ceremony took place between Unicaf and the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) at their offices in Upper Hill, Nairobi. The CEO of IHRM, Quresha Ahmed and Unicaf’s Country Manager in Kenya, Winnie Rachael, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will provide IHRM members with a generous scholarship to study online for an internationally recognised Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree with one of Unicaf’s prestigious and leading partner universities in the UK and Africa.
The ceremony commenced with welcoming remarks from both parties, highlighting the significance of this partnership. Quresha Ahmed, CEO of IHRM, emphasised, “This partnership is very timely as our membership needs substantial capacity building, especially in professional development courses like executive coaching. Other short courses such as leadership and workplace essentials will also go a long way in enhancing our members’ skills.”
Winnie Rachael expressed her excitement about the collaboration, stating, “We are thrilled to collaborate with IHRM to offer these scholarships. This opportunity will enable many HR professionals to enhance their skills and knowledge, thereby contributing to the growth of the HR profession in Kenya.” She further elaborated on Unicaf’s commitment to making education accessible and affordable for professionals looking to advance their careers. The scholarships will cover a range of programmes with a focus on areas such as executive coaching, leadership and workplace essentials.
In addition to the educational opportunities, the IHRM team has expressed interest in collaborating with Unicaf on conducting research. This partnership could lead to valuable insights and advancements in the HR field.
