This study examined the reasons and the impacts of the scarcity of mathematics and sciences trainers on education in Tanzanian secondary schools. The goals of the current research were to uncover the causes of the shortage of mathematics and science trainers in secondary schools and their effects on these schools. The study used a mixed-methods research approach. To be able to collect quantitative data, questionnaires were employed, and to gather qualitative information from the common people at the grassroots, interview questions were used. The data were examined using percentage frequencies as well as thematic data analysis.

The public display of poor behaviour by school children in Kenya is concerning. In 2021, 302 students were arrested following the destruction of school property, physical assault on teachers and school prefects, and arson. Commentators on this matter, and the literature, suggest that school children behaving badly is a sign of laxity by parents, who should instil good social behaviour in their children. The research study assessed the principal’s perspectives on leadership styles in implementing the Universal Basic Education (UBE) program in South-South, Nigeria. A total of five research questions guided the direction of the study. Conducted a literature review to ascertain previous researchers’ findings, and several gaps that affected the smooth implementation of the UBE program were identified that further justified the study’s need.  The study used an interpretive/constructivist qualitative research approach, phenomenological research design, and semi-structured face-to-face interviews to gather primary data from a purposive sample of 33 public junior secondary school principals in South-South, Nigeria.


The need to evaluate teacher preparation programs to identify gaps and improve program quality has been well established in the literature. The study was undertaken to analyze student’s perspectives on enhancing research in Open and Distance Learning (ODL) in Lusaka. A descriptive survey design was used. The sample comprised 25 students in five institutions of learning in Lusaka who were purposively and randomly selected. Botswana is middle class economy and its education system is still having a lot of expansion to undergo. However, Botswana schools have been faced with this transformation and their performance has been affected by the ever-changing situations. Schools that have been constantly performing better academically were so lucky to have leaders who were transformational and kept their schools abiding to the school culture. Schools that are regarded “good schools” are always occupying the top spots in the academic list. The Botswana Examination Commission (BEC) publishes the schools in order of performance for the whole country based on quality percentage performance.
