Monopoly game in Lagos

UNICAF students got together on October 7th, at a Café in Lagos, Nigeria, to get to know one another, enjoy dinner and play a game of MONOPOLY. The event began with students introducing themselves and sharing their experiences of studying through UNICAF. They all expressed their gratitude for the positive influence UNICAF has had on their careers and lives. During the event they had the chance to interact with UNICAF employees and to feel part of the international UNICAF Community.

The Marketing Manager of UNICAF Nigeria, Emmanuel Ebanehita, spoke briefly about new programmes and opportunities offered through UNICAF.

Olufemi Osobajo, a University of South Wales MBA student through UNICAF, stated that he finds online learning easy and flexible, as it allows him to continue to work and also be with his family. He also said that certain modules have broadened his understanding of important aspects of his job, and that he often coaches other employees, with knowledge acquired during his studies. He also said that he is expecting a promotion at the end of the year, as a result of earning his MBA.

Aniekhan Ukoh a bank employee, also studying for an MBA, expressed immense satisfaction with the learning experience he has had with UNICAF and said that he has referred three colleagues, who are currently enrolled with UNICAF.

Zainab Olarenwaju, currently an MBA student with the University of Nicosia through UNICAF, said that she has created a whatsapp group, which she uses to interact with other UNICAF students from different parts of Nigeria, to exchange ideas and experiences.

After a delicious dinner, the students enjoyed a long game of MONOPOLY, the City of Lagos edition. They were evidently very excited about the get together, and they shared their joy with their friends on social media, by posting selfies and photographs from the event.

More UNICAF student get-togethers are being planned for different towns in Nigeria.
