Essential Questions UNICAF Students Need To Ask Themselves

As a prospective or freshly signed up UNICAF student you’ll need to make sure you’re ready and prepared to handle the course and everything else that comes with it. As a result we’ve come up with some brief guidelines that we believe will help you greatly regarding your choice to pursue online study

1. Do you have access to the internet?

It’s an obvious question but one that is often overlooked, if you’re applying for, or have been granted a UNICAF scholarship you have to make sure access to the internet is readily available. If you don’t have  access to the internet at home don’t worry, you can still download your course materials but you need to be able to access the internet at least twice a week for between 30 minutes to an hour so you can communicate with your instructors and submit your work.

2. Are you being proactive in connecting with your instructors?

It’s paramount that you connect with your instructors at the first possible opportunity, these are the people that will remain by your side throughout the duration of your course. They are the ones that mark your submissions and help you with any queries you may have; building a solid relationship with them is essential.

3. Do you have a schedule?

Another very important aspect of online study is making sure you have a schedule so you’re effectively leveraging your time. Time is both your friend and enemy, waste it away and eventually you won’t be able to catch up.

4. Are you organised?

Do you have a system of organisation that works for you? Are prepared to keep everything in tip top shape? These are question you need to be asking yourself, organisation is key and without it you’ll be at a serious disadvantage.

4. Do you have a designated work area?

People think this doesn’t matter but they couldn’t be further from the truth; why do you think offices have desks? Because a desk is your area, your own little world where all your work takes place. If you have a specific desk area it’s much easier to be organised and motivated to work because sitting at your desk automatically puts you in study mode.

Ask yourself the 5 questions above, take care of the areas you lack and you’ll be well on your way to academic success.
