Marymount Names Commencement Speaker The commencement speaker for the 2014 Marymount California University graduation ceremony is California State Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi. Dr. Wayne and Peg Bemis have generously provided an annual scholarship to Marymount California University to help support an upper division student with financial need. Preference is given to a student who is working, since Dr. Bemis has worked from age 11 and appreciates the many students who work while attending Marymount.Dr. Bemis and his wife are longtime residents of Rolling Hills, where they raised their two sons.
